چکیده

The use of mathematical models to study complex systems such as physical and biological phenomena allows understanding their behavior, specifically regarding variables parameters that are difficult obtain. Additionally, studying optimization techniques has made it possible approximate the characteristics these by correlating numerical simulations experimentation. Radiofrequency hyperthermia therapy for cancer treatment is currently under consideration future medical applications. However, some its properties measure, which could prevent control. This case electrical conductivity, depends on induction frequency tissue characteristics. In this paper, radiofrequency was simulated via finite element method. Then, an estimation conductivity involved in performed using particle swarm execution time difference between estimated parameter exact value were evaluated compared with those obtained Levenberg-Marquardt results indicate a significant agreement values three different cases. method 0,1942% performance 22 minutes, whereas 0,0967% 327 minutes. latter performs better terms estimation, former computational times. These may help doctors prescribe protocols open possibility devising control strategies treatment.

Comparison of the presence and non-presence states of magnetite nanoparticles in tissue-equivalent breast phantom via radiofrequency hyperthermia

Objective(s): Breast cancer is a fatal disease and the leading cause of mortality in women. Radiofrequency hyperthermia is an approach to the treatment of cancer cells through increasing their temperature. The present study aimed to investigate breast tumor ablation via radiofrequency hyperthermia in the presence and non-presence states of magnetite nanoparticles and assess the effects of magne...
